Daily Announcements 3/16/18

Any boys interested in joining track should sign up on your grade level Canvas page! Our first practices will be March 21st and 22nd, after school from 3:00-4:30pm.

Reminder: There will be NO after school study tables today. See you at the March Madness Party!

Did you know that cats and dogs stand and walk on their toes? This type of stance is called digitigrade. Next Monday Builders Club is kicking off a week of events to sponsor the Porter County Animal Shelter! On Monday we’ll have a Jar Guess during lunch: just pay a buck to guess how many sweets are in the jar, and the closest number will win the contents! Stay tuned next week for the other coming events! Our goal is to raise over 200 dollars, so we’ll appreciate your help!

Ava Boone: TJMS Helpers and Student Council would like to thank you for participating in the Breakfast food drive for Housing Opportunities. Thanks to your efforts, we were able to pack 340 items and deliver them yesterday.

Grace Maloney: The 6th grade class donated the most items to the drive! Thank you! We picked the top 4 winners. In first place, Mrs. Blakely. Second place, Miss. Alberson, 3rd place Miss Smith, and 4th place Mrs. Adams! Congratulations! Contact Mrs. Bush to set up your ice cream party!!

The media center will be closed this morning from 8:05 to 10:30 AM.

Attention 7th graders: Chris Colfer, the author of the series, The Land of Stories, includes a quote by C.S. Lewis that says: “Some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again.” These words help us think about how our age and experience allow us to view stories through a different lens, even well-known fairy tales. We need princes and princesses to participate in Amelia and Jemila’s Kahoot!, so visit your grade level Canvas page to sign up today!
